Our Mission is to bring the work of all our artists to the attention of as wide an audience as possible and make the purchasing of such art easy and inexpensive. All the artists on this site employ their hard earned manual and technical skills to produce unique works of depth and meaning. So when you acquire an item displayed on this site, you can be assured that it is a product of skill in execution as well as conceptualisation.
As a non-submitting member, you are associating yourself with a community that believes art is more than just conceptualisation. You can contact artists, comment on their work, participate in our forum discussions, and, contribute to preserving an endangered species; the artists who are skilled at execution as well as conceptualisation.
As a submitting artist, you are part of a community that share your values. Through our expertise in search engine optimisation, we ensure that you and your work have the widest exposure across the digital space. We ensure all our content is visible to the main search engines maximising the chance of it being seen by those who would not visit a specific website or a specific gallery. Our techniques put many digital ‘pointers’ to you and your work so that your presence in the Internet space is maximised.
Many artists have their own websites. However, driving traffic to such sites is a big issue. Often these sites have not been optimised for Internet promotion and the artist relies on other means such as listing in directories, public relations and advertising to draw attention to their site. Such schemes cost money, time and effort. Such ‘brochure-ware’ sites do not exploit the full benefits of the Internet and can be costly to produce and maintain. As an artist listing on our site, you are leveraging the attention that we create through our search engine optimisation techniques while at the same time providing you a means of having your own ‘website’ cost effectively. We do not charge for building the site or hosting. All we charge is a monthly membership fee of £5 once our panel has approved your work.
These are big claims. What is the evidence to support these claims? If you search using Google in the UK using the terms ‘real art’ or “Darien Whitehead’, you will find references on the first page of the search results that link back to our site. We have achieved this within 3 months of launching the site!
Galleries promote your work but at a cost. You as the originator may receive as little as 45% of the sale price with them taking more than half of money. If you sell to contact obtained from this site we charge you nothing. That is right, we do not charge a commission!
We will also be negotiating discounts and other benefits for our submitting members. We will be negotiating discounts from material suppliers. We will also be listing service providers such as framers, models etc on our site.
